Yangarra is staying true to its Southern Rhone varietal focus philosophy by participating in the Game of Rhones events this year!
Game of Rhones is a combative celebration of the classic grape varieties of the Rhone Valley in France. Think Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan, Cinsault, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne to name a mere few. This will be your chance to taste and choose for yourself a favourite variety, style and maybe even a region.
With over 40 producers and 100 wines on tasting, the range of styles, characters and diversity will be an all out assault on the senses Yes, there will be something there for everyone. A posse of brilliant producers from all corners of Australia as well some across the narrow Tasman sea that is wild land of New Zealand will be there, and there will also be wines from ‘Beyond the Wall’; think Frances Rhone Valley (of course!), the USA and more.
Your thirst will be quenched though a hearty feed will be in order and there will be fare on offer to relieve your hunger pains. Think suckling pigs, lamb and meat to match the wild reds.
