“Our Viognier is pale straw with bright green hues. The nose is a ripe and exotic mix of jasmine and white nectarines. The plate is fresh and crisp with stone fruits and
citrus. A hint of creaminess brings harmony to the long crisp finish. This is no oily fat Viognier!”

Our 2007 Viognier is our first vintage release of this white Rhone varietal. The grapes are planted on an east facing ridge in the southeastern parcel of our estate vineyard. The soils are sandy mixed with ironstone gravels and the climate is cool thanks to slightly higher elevation and the breezes that waft off the bordering Mount Lofty and Sellicks Hill Ranges. A modified VSP (vertical shoot positioned) system lets us regulate the amount of sunlight to reach the leaves and grapes. A small amount of fruit thinning is also done pre-veraison to minimize bunch crowding and to ensure even ripening.
Region: 100% McLaren Vale, 100% Estate Grown
Varietal Composition: 100% Viognier
Analysis: 13% alcohol, pH 3.33, TA 0.72 g/100ml
Barrel Aging: 6 months in older French oak
