We are excited to announce that our 2011 Roussanne has picked up the award for the Best Viognier/Marsanne/Roussanne in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Wine Guide 2013.
Nick Stock, the editor of the highly regarded book, writes:
“This is a wine that really defies the logic of the variety, much as we saw in this award last year. The sheer attractiveness and alluring fruit on offer here, matched with the cleverly judged structure and shape, makes it a standout wine of true value and distinction.
94 points: A superb example of this very cryptic and elusive varietal. This shows the right terroir being made with insight and understanding, and the result is impressive. There’s a waxy, savoury impression on the nose, some faint lemon and flinty elements here. The palate is bathed in yellow fruit flavours, melon and citrus, bright acidity and beautifully judged phenolics.”
