Not that we need an excuse to celebrate this wonderful variety, but International Grenache Day on Friday 20thSeptember is always a good reason to raise a glass to Grenache in all its forms. We’ve put together a special 6 pack of our favourite Grenache wines for you to see the diversity of flavour and styles this variety can produce from our Estate.

Grenache is the keystone variety at Yangarra’s single estate. From our flag ship High Sands Grenache to our exciting Grenache Blanc white blend, that is unique in Australia, we focus our winemaking on Grenache wines that show finesse, freshness and concentration of flavour.Â
2023 Old Vine Grenache *NEW VINTAGE*
These gnarly strugglers were planted in 1946 in a deep sandy dune we call The Beach, overlying the North Maslin Sands geological formation. The Old Vine Grenache is a complex, perfumed and elegant wine with a trademark tannin structure.
2023 Yangarra GSM *NEW VINTAGE*
Our Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre blend is inspired by the traditional estate blends of the southern Rhône. The Grenache is sourced from a combination of young and old bush vines. We select the most elegant and perfumed Shiraz and add Mourvèdre for fragrance and solid tannin structure.
2022 'Noir' Red Blend
A progressive take on a French classic, Noir brings Grenache together with its lesser-known red partners, Carignan, Cinsaut and Counoise, in a celebration of the southern Rhône on our estate. Lifted fragrance, with bright flavours and vibrant acidity, this wine shows these ancient newcomers also thrive in our elevated corner of McLaren Vale.
2023 Yangarra Rosé
Hand-picked early in the season to capture the pink lady apple crunchiness of the skins and vibrant natural acidity. Gently pressed to produce a very pale and elegant style of rosé. These red Rhône varieties are intrinsically suited to creating a dry rosé, displaying delicate rose hip and strawberry aromas with a juicy, crisp palate.
