We’ve put together a special 6 pack of our favourite vintages of Old Vine Grenache for you to enjoy the new release and see the great age-ability this variety can produce from our Estate.

Grenache is the keystone variety at Yangarra’s single estate. From our flag ship High Sands Grenache to our exciting Grenache Blanc white blend, that is unique in Australia, we focus our winemaking on Grenache wines that show finesse, freshness and concentration of flavour. This vertical pack of Old Vine Grenache includes wines that have been carefully aged and selected from the cellar.
2024 Old Vine Grenache *NEW VINTAGE RELEASE*
These gnarly strugglers were planted in 1946 in a deep sandy dune we call The Beach, overlying the North Maslin Sands geological formation. The Old Vine Grenache is a complex, perfumed and elegant wine with a trademark tannin structure.

"Bright crimson. Beautifully rich and flattering on the nose but by no means just sweet. Real combination of glowing, brilliant fruit, structure and freshness. This will clearly age well but is (just) ready to enjoy. Not heavy at all. Love this. More guts to it than many new wave Grenaches."

"From bushvines planted '46 at Blewitt Springs, cold soak, open-fermented with 50% whole berries, wild yeast, matured in used French oak for 9 months. The lightish colour is misleading: the wine has a cascade of red fruits, with a slightly unexpected brush fence of ripe tannins, important now as much as in the future when they will fuse back into the wine."
