Guillaume Camougrand
HEAD WINEMAKER
-
Raised on his family's vineyard near the Pyrenees in southwest France, Guillaume Camougrand developed an early interest in grape growing that led him to study viticulture and winemaking in Bordeaux. He built his foundation across respected French estates before spending eight years at Domaine Bellegarde in Jurancon, where he oversaw both vineyard management and winemaking.
International experience followed, with vintages in California's Sonoma County at Verite and Australia's Hunter Valley at Thomas Wines. After joining Yangarra in 2015 as Assistant Winemaker, he was promoted to Winemaker in 2017, working across the full scope of production. In 2026, Guillaume was named Head Winemaker, where he continues Yangarra's legacy of crafting world-class wines.
Guillaume's winemaking is guided by a focus on site expression, varietal suitability, and continual refinement. He believes that matching varieties to site and climate, combined with innovative winemaking techniques, are among the most important factors in producing the highest quality Australian wines. He now leads winemaking at Yangarra with this philosophy.
It takes many hands and brilliant minds to craft and share our wines.
At Yangarra, we are fortunate to work alongside a dedicated and talented team who bring expertise, passion, and care to everything they do — from the vineyard and the winery, to the cellar door and beyond.
Together, we are proud to steward this special piece of country and share it with the world.

Shelley Torresan
WINEMAKER
-
Shelley Torresan's path to winemaking was shaped by a passion for science, food, and wine, leading her to study Oenology at Adelaide University. She began her career at Haselgrove Wines in McLaren Vale, where she spent nine years working across a diverse range of regions, developing a lasting connection to the Vale and its varieties.
Her experience expanded internationally with vintages in France’s Northern Rhône at Cave de Tain and California’s Alexander Valley Stonestreet Winery, before returning to Australia to join Yangarra as Winemaker in 2008. Having already worked with Yangarra’s fruit in 2003, she brought both familiarity and a deepening understanding of the vineyard to the role.
Shelley’s wines are defined by brightness, depth of flavour, and fine tannin structure, reflecting the contemporary evolution of McLaren Vale. Her approach is guided by continual refinement and a focus on expressing the unique character of each vineyard parcel.

Cliff Wickman
VINEYARD MANAGER

Cliff Wickman joined Yangarra in 2025 from Central Otago, New Zealand, bringing more than decade of experience in cool-climate organic viticulture. In his previous role at Carrick, he spent six years developing experience across all aspects of the wine business, from production through to sales strategy.
He has also managed vineyards across the Yarra Valley and brings a strong understanding of Australian viticulture and a particular interest in working with old vine Rhône varieties and bush vines.
He combines technical knowledge with practical problem-solving and an instinctive approach to building team culture. Cliff feels privileged to be a caretaker of the land and vines at Yangarra, contributing to the continued pursuit of excellence in fruit quality.
Our Legacy
Much of Yangarra's modern identity was shaped over more than two decades by Winemaker and General Manager Peter Fraser and Vineyard Manager Michael Lane.
Together, they helped transform Yangarra into one of Australia's most acclaimed estate wineries, earning international recognition for its biodynamic farming, pioneering work with Rhône varieties, and world-class Grenache wines.
Under their leadership, Yangarra became widely regarded as one of the leading voices for site-driven Australian wine. Their commitment to the land, the vineyard, and the pursuit of excellence continues to guide the estate today.
