Named after the street on which the vineyard is located, Brooks Road Shiraz exhibits the compelling single site character of the vineyard. It marries red, blue and black fruit aromas with perfumed and savoury elements and captures the full flavour of Shiraz with deeply ripe plum and blackberry fruits. The powerful and defined tannins are balanced with even-paced acid structure which accentuates length of flavour and delivers a sense of sustained purity on the palate.

The 2016 vintage was one of the most exceptional of the 2010’s in McLaren Vale. Good winter rains in 2015 and a mild dry Spring led to terrific fruit set across all varieties. A typical Clarendon Summer was broken up with some welcome rain in January and February, with Shiraz the first fruit harvested on 26th February. Steady mild conditions continued throughout February and March allowing for gradual sugar accumulation, creating fruit with great colour and flavour concentration.

This Shiraz reflects the consistent characters this vineyard displays each year. Brilliant blue and black fruit, hints of black pepper, with structured tannins in an elegant, harmonious and balanced form.

Jane Faulkner - Halliday Wine Companion

2016 Vintage

A shiraz that’s full-bodied and complex yet charming and swoon-worthy all at once. Excellent colour; the generosity of flavor comes through with red and black fruits, some licorice, cinnamon and a dusting of mocha. Freshness, bright acidity, length and beautiful, fine tannins seal the deal.

Toni Patterson - The Real Review

2016 Vintage

A quiet, though self-assured wine with excellent density. Bitter-sweet chocolate aromas followed by a savoury, composed palate. Reserved dark fruits and ripe, framing tannin. One for the cellar
