Named after the street on which the vineyard is located, Brooks Road Shiraz exhibits the compelling single site character of the vineyard. It marries red, blue and black fruit aromas with perfumed and savoury elements and captures the full flavour of Shiraz with deeply ripe plum and blackberry fruits. The powerful and defined tannins are balanced with even-paced acid structure which accentuates length of flavour and delivers a sense of sustained purity on the palate.

The season opened with generous rainfall, carrying cool wet conditions through spring. These conditions shaped balanced canopies and modest yields while LaNiña brought cooler days and steady rains. Shoot thinning and leaf removal enhanced airflow and sun exposure. Picked before Easter, the wines reveal rare elegance - delicate, graceful expressions from a cool vintage.

Handpicked, 20% whole bunch, 30% destemmed and berry sorted and 50% crushed to open top fermenters. A gentle maceration principle of wetting the cap and only draining and returning when reductive. Approximately 20 days on skins. No pressings used and drained directly to barrel. Kept on lees in 30% new French oak puncheons, with remaining volume in 1-to-2-year old puncheons for 8.5 months. Racked and blended. Further matured in older French and Austrian oak 25hL foudre for 10 months. Bottled October 2024.
